Denver Post: Angie Rivera-Malpiede appointed to RTD board to replace Juanita Chacon

The Denver Post reports that Mayor John Hickenlooper has selected longtime transportation advocate Angie Rivera-Malpiede to succeed Juanita Chacon as RTD director for District C, which includes northwest Denver and surrounding areas.
Rivera-Malpiede lives in northwest Denver and is director of the Stapleton Area Transportation Management Association, which promotes transportation alternatives in the northeast portion of metro Denver.
In January, Chacon said she was leaving the Regional Transportation District board because business and personal demands made it difficult for her to devote the time necessary for the job.
