West Corridor bridge girder placement will close West Colfax at Sixth overnight on Tuesday

Nov. 25, 2009 | 10:37 am No comments

All lanes of Colfax Avenue north of Sixth Avenue in Jefferson County will be closed overnight Tuesday into Wednesday so work crews can set girders on the West Corridor light rail bridge that crosses Colfax north of Sixth.

The closure will be in the short area between Sixth and Quaker Street, just 1,500 feet, but it will require all traffic to find other routes overnight.

The street will be closed at 9 p.m. Tuesday and reopen by 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The bridge will be a six-span structure with a total length of 699 feet from end to end, carrying a single track between the end-of-line station at the Jefferson County Government Center to the Red Rocks Station.
