AAA wants investigation into Texas HOV lane factor in highway deaths

Dallas news station WFAA reports that the American Automobile Association’s Texas chapter wants an independent investigation into the impact that new car pool lanes on three freeways on seven motorist deaths. The new lanes made use of safety and breakdown shoulders to add the lanes, and TXDOT narrowed existing general purpose lanes, to fit the new facility into the roadway envelope.
